the session

Maternity portraits are available at Nadia Hurtt Photography in both an outdoor or in studio setting. Each option presents the opportunity to capture a specific vision you may have for your session.

All Maternity sessions include a pre consultation that allows us to plan out your session exactly how you envision it, Professional Hair & Make Up for momma, use of the studios’ Maternity Gown Closet, with outfit planning for your partner as well as any children who will be present. After you session, you will return to the studio for your Design & Ordering Appointment which is when you will discover your images and we will create the perfect products to display your portraits.

location & time

Outdoor Maternity sessions can be done at almost any location in Beaufort County as well as nearby Jasper county. Travel to other locations can also be arranged in conjunction with an additional travel fee. These sessions are up to 60 minutes and start 90 minutes prior to sunset.

Studio sessions are done at our Beaufort studio. They last about 30-45 minutes and offer a lot of flexibility as to what time of the day they are scheduled. These sessions are perfect for a more intimate look to your images, such as nude or implied nude portraits.

scheduling

We generally schedule Maternity Portraits between your 30th and 35th week of pregnancy. This is when we feel it is ideal to photograph you because you are far along to have a nice, noticeable belly but have not gotten to the point of pregnancy where you are extremely uncomfortable.

We recommend inquiring with us about your session was soon as you decide that maternity portraits are something you are interested in. Some of our sessions such as on location beach appointments typically fill up weeks, if not months in advance because of the tide differences. It’s never too early to talk to us about booking a session.

family

We encourage you to bring your loved ones such as your spouse and other children to your session to capture this special time with them as well. We do suggest they come at the end of your session so you can enjoy a little bit of time just to yourself while we pamper you.

consultation

We encourage ALL potential clients to book a consultation at our studio – this allows you to come in and see what we are all about. You can view our beautiful wardrobe choices, see samples of our products and look over our full price list . There is NO obligation to go beyond the consultation, we just prefer to discuss about all the details in person because we feel it is the most efficient use of your time and the easiest way to answer all your questions!
