Some people are just meant to be together.
Mike and Diane were just two kids, going to the same high school, until they graduated. It was after that they started dating. They had a baby girl together, but then things just didn’t work out and they went their separate ways. Each of them married someone else, but those relationships didn’t work out either. About a year ago, fate brought them back together, and they’ve been working to build a strong family foundation for their daughter ever since. You can see in the way they look at each other that their love has never been stronger.
Diane contacted me about doing a Couples photography shoot to celebrate re-finding each other, and I had to jump at the chance to capture such a great love story. I adored how they kept looking at each other and laughing, and how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
We shot these photos in Downtown Beaufort, which was a great change of pace for me. Back in Hawaii, people kept mostly to themselves and it was never a good idea to go onto private property without permission, Here in Beaufort, Diane kept telling me no one would mind if we used their steps, or their fences, for backgrounds. Everyone is so laid-back, it’s great!
