This little princess was due to be born on my birthday, December 19th, but as her family found out, she had other plans!
The family and I met at a local Dunkin Donuts to get acquainted, and discuss our upcoming lifestyle newborn session. It was a great way to get to know them, and also give them some ideas of what to expect during a lifestyle session, versus a regular portrait session.
The next day, I received a text message with a photo of this chunky little girl who had decided she wasn’t waiting another week to come out and say hi!

After a few tries, we finally were able to have our photo session. Sometimes during the winter, patience is necessary, as so many families are hit with colds or stomach bugs. It was worth waiting for, though, because this session was so entertaining. Matthew and Johnathan had me cracking up with their antics, but I also got to witness how protective they are of their little sister. After a few photos, Little Jacob fell asleep, and boy did he miss a great party!

I have a soft spot for guys with babies, so seeing how much Nara doted on his little princess was absolutely precious! And when Michelle showed me Nyla’s room, I could totally see a future of frilly dresses and pink hairbows. It was easy to tell they were ecstatic to finally have a girl to add to their brood of boys.

Some people might think Michelle and Nara must be crazy for having four kids under the age of 5, but after spending an afternoon with them, I could tell that there was nothing but love filling up their home. No matter what chaos they had to deal with having all those little ones, I could tell they wouldn’t have it any other way.
